Did you know that tomorrow, January 2nd, is Mew Year’s Day for kitties? Fluffy probably can’t be bothered to make resolutions: after all, her 2021 schedule is already packed with naps, grooming sessions, and meals. However, that doesn’t mean she can’t celebrate! A Bucks County, PA vet lists some great ways to get Fluffy’s motor going on her special day below.

Play Session

It’s always cute seeing a kitty hard at play. 2020 was a pretty rough year for many of us. Our animal companions really helped us through, by providing us with cuddles, love, and, of course, live entertainment. If you got Fluffy some new toys for the holidays, put them to good use.

Pick A Purrfect Movie

Watching a fun pet-related movie is a great way to relax. Settle in with the kids, the family pets, some munchies, and a cute kitty movie. There are plenty of great flicks to choose from!

Photo Shoot

Our feline pals are very photogenic. Take some time to get some good shots of Fluffy. Experiment with different effects and filters.

Box Castle

Do you have leftover boxes from those holiday presents? Give one to your feline buddy, and put a soft blanket in it. According to the laws of kitty physics, Fluffy will immediately occupy the box. She’ll then likely peek out at you with that adorable expression cats get when they’re happy.

Treat

Fluffy may have had several yummy treats over the past month or so, but that doesn’t mean she won’t enjoy another one. Offer your furball something she loves, such as canned tuna or cooked boneless chicken.

Conversations

Many of our feline patients are quite chatty. Some even like to yell at their humans! If your furball is on the talkative side, have some fun chatting with her. This can make a cute video for friends and family.

Cuddles

Cats are really the purrfect snuggle buddies. They’re soft, they’re furry, and they’re just the right size to fit into our laps. Whether you were just heading back to the grind after a holiday break, or are working from home these days, take some time to just relax and hang out with Fluffy. There are definitely worse ways to spend a chilly night than by being kitty furniture!
